REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
1. DIGITAL GOODS OVERVIEW & IMMEDIATE PERFORMANCE
BeatLam is a marketplace specializing in downloadable digital audio assets, including instrumental beats (MP3, WAV, and multitrack stems), sound kits, sample packs, and commercial licensing documentation.
Under Section 42(2)(f) of the South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”), the standard statutory cooling-off period and withdrawal rights do not apply to digital goods where delivery begins immediately upon payment confirmation with the consumer's express prior consent.
2. NON-REFUNDABLE TRANSACTIONS
All sales of digital beats, non-exclusive licenses, exclusive ownership transfers, and sound kits are strictly final and non-refundable once:
- Payment has been verified and settled via Paystack.
- Download links or vault access credentials have been generated and provisioned to the buyer's account.
- The audio files (WAV, MP3, or ZIP stems) have been accessed or downloaded.
3. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR REFUNDS OR CREDITS
Refunds, file replacements, or marketplace store credits may be granted in the following limited situations upon administrative investigation:
3.1 Corrupted or Defective Audio Files
If a downloaded file is provably corrupted, silent, or missing stems, and our technical team cannot provide a working replacement within 48 hours of notification.
3.2 Accidental Duplicate Billing
If an automated gateway timeout resulted in double-charging the exact same transaction reference or identical cart items within a 15-minute window.
3.3 Material Misrepresentation
If the delivered instrumental composition substantially differs from the audio preview auditioned on the marketplace prior to purchase.
4. PRODUCER SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATIONS
Producers enrolled in the BeatLam Pro monthly subscription (R199/month) may cancel their recurring billing at any time from their Producer Portal. Cancellation will prevent subsequent billing cycles. Subscription fees already settled for the current active billing cycle are non-refundable.
